This course provides you with a comprehensive knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and its significance in streamlining business communication and processes. By the end of this course, you will gain real-life skills in the various industries - manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, etc. -  that use EDI for business data exchange, improve communication, reduce manual effort, and enhance efficiency. 

The EDI training consists of online (pre-recorded videos) and live virtual (hands-on) training. The live sessions are instructor-led, and registration is ongoing.

COURSE DETAIL

Start Date: This is an ongoing enrollment class that provides you with immediate access to pre-recorded courses and weekly live-virtual instructor-led classes to practicalize the content in the pre-recorded videos. This gives you the flexibility to learn on your own time while navigating the course in real-time with an instructor and other students.

About the Live Session: The live virtual sessions are conducted by an instructor and are organized into three progressive levels: foundation, intermediate, and experiential. Registration is required only once to access all three levels included in your enrollment.

  • Level 1: Foundational - Learn the basics of EDI standards and business use cases in Modules 1 & 2.
  • Level 2: Intermediate - Introduced to Mapping, fixing errors, and utilizing protocols in Modules 3 & 4.
  • Level 3: Experiential - Real-world project-based practicals with access to industry-recognized EDI software tools in Modules 5, 6, & 7.

Live Session on Zoom Schedule: 

  • Level 1 - Mondays & Wednesdays, 6 pm to 7:30 pm EST (US and Canada)
  • Level 2 - Mondays & Wednesdays, 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm EST (US and Canada)
  • Level 3 - Fridays, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm EST (US and Canada)

Course Duration: 12 Weeks of access to the EDI pre-recorded video and live-session class, designed for ambitious learners.

Live Virtual Meetings:

The live virtual meetings are instructor-led and held via Zoom. It provides you with an interactive online educational experience, where you engage in real-time with an expert instructor through the Zoom platform. The Echolink Solution and EDITI live-virtual courses feature live lectures, interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, hands-on exercises using industry-grade software, and real-time feedback and may include breakout groups. If you are seeking a structured, collaborative learning environment from any location and obtain relevant skills in today’s job market, this is your ideal program. The Zoom conference starts on February 5, 2024. Access to the Zoom conference meeting will be granted after you have registered.

Course Format:

This course is a mix of online and live virtual. Each Module includes pre-recorded classes that give you the flexibility needed to pause and replay each lesson. Students are then encouraged to join Zoom twice a week for live discussions of the course content.

Software For this course:

Sterling Integrator: Part of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, this tool will be used by students for integrating complex business processes with external and internal systems.

Microsoft Dynamics 365: This is a suite of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software applications. We use  Dynamics 365 to integrate applications with productivity tools and provide AI-driven insights.

Microsoft Teams: We use Teams for communication (chat, video calls), collaboration (file sharing, co-authoring), and integrating with other Microsoft and third-party applications.

Boomi: Dell Boomi is a cloud-based integration platform as a service (iPaaS). It enables students to integrate cloud and on-premises applications, data, and processes.

STEDI: Students use this application to provide tools and services to translate, validate, and manage EDI transactions, often focusing on simplifying and modernizing EDI processes.

Halo Ticketing System: Students use this software for ticketing systems used in submitting  IT and customer support tickets to track and manage service requests and incidents.

Lanham MFT Gateway: Students use Lanham to provide solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and NAV. The MFT (Managed File Transfer) Gateway will be a solution for secure, reliable data transfers, commonly used in EDI and other business data exchanges.

MuleSoft: An integration platform for connecting various applications, data, and devices. MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform  will be used by students  to enable API-led connectivity, both in the cloud and on-premises.

Notepad++: A popular, free source code editor for Windows. It's used  by students for editing plain text and writing code in various programming languages. Notepad++ offers features like syntax highlighting, regular expression search, and folding.
